Treatment For Skin Conditions

Relief from chronic skin conditions such as eczema and hives. We provide patients with personalized treatment plans for all allergic and chronic skin conditions.

Hives Treatment

Hives are a common allergic reaction, especially in people with other allergies such as hay fever, or to food or medicine. Hives are raised, often itchy, red welts on the surface of the skin. In most cases, hives will improve with medications. They are effective, long-lasting (may be taken once a day), with fewer side effects. Our OBA allergists will figure out a regiment for the treatment of hives. Below are examples of what often triggers a hives outbreak:

• Foods
• Harsh Soaps
• Constant pressure like tight fighting clothes
• Change in temperature
• Sun exposure
• Medications

Eczema Treatment

Eczema can be a frustrating condition for patients, our team of board certified allergists work with each patient to develop a treatment plan that helps calm the symptoms and treat the itch and pain. Every patient may experience different symptoms, rashes on different parts of the body and symptoms of varying severity. While skin conditions are often inherited traits, they can also be a result of certain allergic triggers. Our expert allergists narrow in on the root cause by taking a complete family and medical history. It is important to know if other family members have suffered from eczema, asthma or hay fever since eczema has been shown to be associated with these factors. While there is no cure for eczema, our Oak Brook allergists have the training and knowledge to diagnose and treat eczema in infants, children and adults to manage the condition.
